Meet The Team: 1 Hair Stop

1 Hair Stop spawned almost unexpectedly in 2019 when during a vacation, sisters Richa and Raina decided to shoot some content with make-shift hair products. Soon, they realised that there is enormous potential in this industry and there are gaps where they could make a real difference.

Drawing upon their family’s experience in the human hair industry and their own background in digital marketing, they leveraged social media platforms to kickstart their business. What started as a beauty-centric brand, grew into much more as they interacted with their customers and quickly adapted to launch new products. 

Today they offer a wide range of high-quality, natural-looking hair products, never seen before in the Indian hair market.

Choosing Shopify to go Direct-to-Customer

1 Hair Stop launched its website in 2020 on the Shopify platform. Without any extensive background in website development, the team was able to launch a professional e-commerce website hosting thousands of SKUs. 

“After my experience working with a plethora of brands in a digital marketing firm, I quickly realised the capabilities of Shopify and taught myself to build what is now, a professional website with thousands of SKUs. I would encourage other small businesses like ours to do the same as you do not need to be a developer with an extensive CS background to build an entire website from scratch.”

Online Payment Challenges

While accepting online payments, the team started facing a few challenges on their Shopify website. The success rate of transactions was falling, which was negatively impacting the customer experience and the business itself.
