By extending the engineering culture at Cashfree Payments beyond the code we write.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This National Technology Day, we spoke to our CTO, Ramkumar Venkatesan, on his 5 quick tips that can help professionals in tech stay ahead of the curve and build interesting products!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Here\u2019s Ram\u2019s take on what can help techies stay ahead of the curve:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Leverage_being_a_problem_solver\"><\/span>Leverage being a problem solver&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAll engineers are fundamentally problem solvers. When problem-solving stops, one stops being an engineer. I would recommend maintaining a list where you note down problems that you experience, hear, or observe. You never know when a new idea might strike and you find an inspiring new problem to solve.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Be_open\"><\/span><strong>Be open<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBe open to diverse problem statements and diverse tech. This can broaden your perspective and increase the probability of innovation. By being open you will never be starved for problems, and your hunger for ideation will always be fed.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Take_pride_in_your_work\"><\/span><strong>Take pride in your work<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTake pride in everything you do, be it big or small. This lets you set your bar high, and that way others will not have to set an expectation for you. While taking pride in your work ensure you are both your biggest critic and your biggest supporter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Keep_working_on_a_better_version_of_yourself\"><\/span><strong>Keep working on a better version of yourself<\/strong>&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSetting goals for yourself and achieving them is fun. And if you don\u2019t compare yourself to others, it is a pleasant journey as well! When you\u2019re on the path of self-improvement, you\u2019ll find that all results you seek will start seeking you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Self-reflection\"><\/span>Self-reflection<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSelf-reflection is a part of this process. I\u2019d recommend 2 mins of self-reflection when you start the day and 2 mins at the end of the day. You can ask yourself what impact you want to make at work today, and while closing the day, ask yourself if you made that impact.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Balance_non-tech_learning_and_interests\"><\/span><strong>Balance non-tech learning and interests<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s important to take an interest in areas such as writing and speaking about your work. Try your hand at non-tech things you like e.g. music, literature, or art.
