Their skills and leadership help drive solutions that are impactful, inclusive, and future-ready.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;This Women\u2019s Day, we celebrate our women at Cashfree Payments who are not just thriving in fintech but shaping its future through ownership, resilience, and building high-impact fintech products.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Building_from_Ground_Up\"><\/span>Building from Ground Up&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/deepali-butalia-042236150\/\"> <strong><em>Deepali Butalia,<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em> our Associate Director of Cross Border Payments,<\/em><\/strong> first joined Cashfree Payments, she was confident in managing cross-border inward remittances\u2014something she had done before. But six months in, she was handed a new challenge<strong>: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cashfree.com\/docs\/payments\/cross-border\/pg-for-imports\/overview\">PG for Imports<\/a>, Cashfree Payments\u2019 outward remittance product. This was an entirely different vertical, and she initially hesitated. As someone highly numbers-driven, she was unsure whether she could replicate her previous success as it was a new domain for her.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>With the guidance and encouragement from the leadership team, I took up this role, and it was definitely a good decision. Stepping out of my comfort zone to spearhead a zero-to-one journey gave me a completely new learning experience,<\/em> <em>Deepali remarks.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What followed was an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cashfree.com\/blog\/learning-and-development-culture-at-cashfree-payments\/\">intense period of learning<\/a>, as she built a product from the ground up rather than refining an existing one.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Every step, from cross-team collaboration to sales calls, was a learning experience. Today, I\u2019m proud to be one of the spokespersons for us in this space,<\/em> <em>she adds.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deepali\u2019s journey is a reminder that taking risks often means learning things you never expected to\u2014and that\u2019s exactly what <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cashfree.com\/blog\/how-cashfree-payments-drive-growth\/\">drives growth<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Driving_Impact_through_Ownership\"><\/span>Driving Impact through Ownership<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Building for scale in fintech means making decisions that balance innovation, efficiency, and a seamless user experience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;That\u2019s been the case for <a href=\"https:\/\/in.linkedin.com\/in\/renu-bisht-77996615a\"><strong><em>Renu Bisht<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>, our Mobile Engineer 3, <\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;who joined Cashfree Payments in 2021 and has since grown into a key contributor, actively leading projects and driving innovation in frontend development.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This place gave me the freedom to take ownership and work with cross-functional teams.\u00a0 The leadership trusts engineers to make decisions, and the team spirit is incredible. I evolved from being an Android developer to leading impactful projects. The culture fosters learning, helping me sharpen both my technical and leadership skills,<\/em> shares Renu.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to her, her most impactful project to have worked on is when the mobile app had just launched and the team faced a growing demand for an iOS version. Instead of maintaining separate apps for Android and iOS, the team made a strategic choice to rebuild the Android app using React Native, enabling a unified experience across platforms. This decision significantly reduced development overhead while improving performance and scalability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Delivering the new app in six months was a major milestone. It enhanced performance, improved UX, and streamlined development. Along the way, I also got to learn Swift and Spring Boot while taking full ownership\u2014writing DRCs, presenting solutions, and collaborating with PMs, designers, and engineers,<\/em> she adds.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bridging_Law_and_Innovation_in_Fintech\"><\/span>Bridging Law and Innovation in Fintech<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As our <strong><em>Associate in Regulatory Compliance, <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/avantika-jain-988a961aa?miniProfileUrn=urn%3Ali%3Afs_miniProfile%3AACoAADDtHvgBMiAcHRVTECx04wzQB8PJZbqIvOA&amp;lipi=urn%3Ali%3Apage%3Ad_flagship3_search_srp_all%3BNtKZ%2FAwKRUiFuOjn6prpXg%3D%3D\"><strong><em>Avantika Jain<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>\u2019s<\/em><\/strong> role at Cashfree Payments goes beyond traditional legal responsibilities as she works at the intersection of compliance and innovation, ensuring that business growth scales harmoneously with legal frameworks<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Being part of driving a key compliance initiative from scratch was a defining experience. It constantly pushes you to step out of your comfort zone. Engaging with diverse teams and solving cross-functional challenges has helped me grow both personally and professionally<\/em>, <em> she adds.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Designing_for_Experience\"><\/span>Designing for Experience<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A smooth and inclusive checkout experience is critical, as even minor friction can lead to drop-offs and lost revenue. And for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/namanbh\/\"><strong><em>Naman Bhatia<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>, our Product Designer<\/em><\/strong>, the challenge was clear\u2014redesign the checkout experience to make it faster, more intuitive, and adaptable to different merchant needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>I worked as a designer on this exercise, focusing on making the best possible checkout experience for our merchants\u2019 customers. The redesign tackled branding inconsistencies, enhanced performance, and simplified the experience for mobile and web users,<\/em> <em>says Naman<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Naman, the project was more than just a redesign as it gave her a new perspective on how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cashfree.com\/blog\/cashfree-payments-design-principles\/\">design <\/a>is approached in this ecosystem. She believes that design is not a one-time deliverable but an evolving process, where collaboration and iteration play a crucial role in refining the user experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The biggest lesson I\u2019ve learned is the importance of early collaboration with the right people to ensure the best quality work.
