Hence, it includes individuals as well as businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PAN card includes information like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The PAN number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Address<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Date for Birth (For individuals)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Date of Registration ( For Businesses)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the PAN format adheres to a carefully crafted structure. It also represents the first character of the name of a Hindu Joint Family, judicial person government or any local authority.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The last or tenth character is used as a check-sum to verify the validity of the current code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Online_PAN_Verification_Step_by_Step_Guide_For_Bulk_PAN_Verification\"><\/span>Online PAN Verification: Step by Step Guide For Bulk PAN Verification<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have established just how important PAN card verification is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, you wouldn\u2019t want to manually undergo PAN number verification, would you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After all, this exercise is almost impossible for big and medium businesses. <em>Not to mention, inefficient<\/em>. Well, <strong>10,000 PANs at once<\/strong>, to be exact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having said that, let\u2019s understand PAN verification API works up close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Verifying_PAN_Validity_How_To_Verify_PAN_Number\"><\/span>Verifying PAN Validity: How To Verify PAN Number<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For starters, you can use the Cashfree PAN card verification API to check if the PAN exists.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All you have to do is use the <strong>Verify PAN Sync API<\/strong>. <strong>(<span style=\"color:#0822b1\" class=\"has-inline-color\">POST<\/span> \/pan)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In response to a valid PAN, you will get access to the following information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The name associated with the PAN number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The PAN type (Business or Individual)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Want to dive deeper?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, here you go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parameters of Cashfree PAN verification API<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/cJvGUnmzGp3pYTx4QBTcIr5R7Ua052Z7j62YpsAB2qpDKbVrJ8SFgRqdula2gbXd0gPRftzihzDBb6LAw_pZn4h8ogT_ygq5XByYUaNVB44blh2ad8oAPqTSjud_TfFm77p5Du6-=s0\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, the API request should contain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The PAN card number: <\/strong>which should have a <strong>total of 10 characters.<\/strong> Like we mentioned before, the first 5 characters are alphabets. This is followed by 4 numbers and lastly, one alphabet, in that order.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Name of the PAN owner:<\/strong> While submitting the name of the PAN owner, only use <strong>alphabets<\/strong> and <strong>period (.) as characters.<\/strong> <strong>Space between characters<\/strong> is also allowed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, there can be only three kinds of responses to this API request:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Either the verification is successful. In this case, we have three possible outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PAN Card is valid and belongs to a business<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or PAN Card is valid and belongs to an individual<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PAN Card is not valid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, PAN verification can be unsuccessful as well.
