# Set Low Balance Threshold

> Set a minimum balance threshold for every Cashfree Payouts fund source and trigger email alerts whenever an account drops below the configured limit.

You can set a minimum balance amount for every [fund source](/docs/payouts/payouts/fund-management/introduction) account. Defining a minimum balance threshold helps you in maintaining sufficient funds. You can configure to [receive email notifications](/docs/payouts/payouts/dashboard/set-email-notifications) when your account goes below the set amount.

## Set low balance threshold

Follow the instructions below to set threshold for your Payouts account:

1. Log in to the [Merchant Dashboard](https://merchant.cashfree.com/auth/login).
2. Go to **Payouts Dashboard** > **Settings**.
3. Click **Set Threshold** under the **Payouts** section.
4. Fill in the following information:
   * **Notify when the balance drops below the threshold**: Switch the toggle on to receive email notifications when the balance drops below the set amount.
   * **Fund Source**: Use the dropdown to choose the fund source you want to set the threshold limit.
   * **Minimum Balance**: Enter the minimum balance amount in this field.
5. Click **Confirm**.
