Why is GST Verification Important?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GSTIN is necessary for verifying the authenticity of a GST-registered taxpayer. In fact, historically, individuals have in the past manipulated the GST numbers (GSTIN) to avoid paying taxes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Verifying GSTIN is required to <strong>ensure that the GST is paid to the appropriate people<\/strong>. If the vendor\u2019s GSTIN is fake or unverified, you will lose the Input Tax Credit (ITC). Therefore, you must verify the GSTIN to be able <strong>to claim all your eligible ITC<\/strong>. It is also an opportunity to contribute to <strong>nation-building and establish a transparent tax system<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 15-digit GSTIN also reflects various aspects of the business. The first two digits, for example, represent the state code, that is the state in which the business is incorporated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Similarly, the next ten digits of the number represent the PAN number of the registered business owner. The last three digits represent the number of registrations made by the business entity.
