What is a Virtual Account?

Virtual Accounts are a series of dummy accounts used to make and receive payments on behalf of one physical account.

A virtual account number is a system-generated unique account number that is based on logic and masks the original account number.  Virtual accounts also offer businesses the ability to reconcile payments in real-time.

In Cashfree AutoCollect (for Inbound payments ). You can create a unique virtual bank account number for each of your customers using Cashfree AutoCollect APIs and automate the reconciliation process.
