The Blacklisting feature in Cashfree helps merchants reduce losses from Return to Origin (RTO), where customers refuse to accept COD orders. RTOs increase costs due to shipping and inventory handling. Secure your business by blocking high-risk customers, limiting COD for select products, and managing delivery zones prone to issues. Customize your store’s operations to reduce risks, minimise losses, and ensure smooth, efficient order fulfilment.

Blacklisting COD

Use the Blacklist feature to restrict COD based on products, customers, or pincodes.

To access the blacklist:

  1. Log in to the Merchant Dashboard.
  2. Under One-Click Checkout, select Access.
  3. In the left pane, select COD & RTO.
  4. Select the Blacklist tab.
  5. Select Add to Blacklist.

To blacklist by product:

  1. In the Add Product ID to Blacklist window:
    • To block a single product, select Single Product ID and enter the product ID.
    • To block multiple products, select Multiple Product IDs and upload a .csv file containing product IDs.
      The file must be under 500 KB. The productid field is required.
  2. Select Proceed.

To blacklist by customer:

  1. In the Add Phone Number to Blacklist window:
    • To block a single customer, select Single Phone Number and enter the phone number.
    • To block multiple customers, select Multiple Phone Numbers, and upload a .csv file with phone numbers.
      The file must be under 500 KB. The phonenumber field is required.
  2. Select Proceed.

To blacklist by pincode:

  1. In the Add Pincodes to Blacklist window:
    • To block a single pincode, select Single Pincode and enter the pincode.
    • To block multiple pincodes, select Multiple Pincodes and upload a .csv file with pincode values.
      The file must be under 500 KB. The pincode field is required.
  2. Select Proceed.
