Cashfree’s One Click Checkout is now integrated with Nector, one of India’s leading loyalty and rewards platforms for Shopify D2C brands.
This means customers can see their Nector points and redeem them directly inside One Click Checkout at the time of payment, without visiting a separate rewards page, copying a coupon code, or leaving checkout at all.
For brands running both, loyalty now works exactly where it was always supposed to: at the moment a customer is deciding whether to complete the purchase.
Where loyalty programs lose repeat customers
Most loyalty programs on Shopify were built for the storefront. They live on product pages, account dashboards, and post-purchase emails. One Click Checkout, built to strip friction from the payment step and get customers to a confirmed order faster, operates as a separate layer. Until now, that meant a returning customer with Nector points would log in, expect to redeem, and find that One Click Checkout had no visibility into their balance at all. They either paid full price or dropped off.
That’s not a gap in One Click Checkout and it’s not a gap in Nector. It’s what happens when two systems built for different jobs have never been connected. This integration connects them.
What a returning customer now experiences on One Click Checkout
A logged-out customer sees a pre-login nudge on One Click Checkout telling them they have points waiting, giving them a real reason to log in instead of dropping out as a guest. Once logged in, their eligible Nector points appear as a rupee value on the checkout screen itself.
From there, the customer can apply those points with one tap, watch the order total update in real time, and remove them just as easily if they change their mind. No redirects, no separate redemption step, no manual entry.
Customers who aren’t redeeming can also see how many Nector points they’ll earn on the current order before they pay, so the loyalty program stays visible even when no points are being spent.
What merchants get to decide
The redemption rules aren’t fixed by the integration. Merchants configure them on the Cashfree dashboard once Nector is enabled. The options include:
- Whether points can be used with COD or Partial COD orders
- Whether loyalty redemption can combine with other active offers like cart discounts, prepaid offers, or bank cashback
- Whether points apply automatically at checkout or need the customer to manually click redeem
- A custom name for the reward currency, so it reads as the brand’s own rewards vocabulary instead of a generic “points” label
Beyond repeat purchases, this configurability does more than most brands expect. A brand that restricts loyalty redemption to prepaid orders nudges COD-heavy customers toward paying online. One that limits stacking with other offers reduces overall discount spend without pulling the loyalty program entirely. The same integration handles both outcomes, just configured differently.
The reliability details that matter at scale
Point-to-currency conversion is matched to Nector’s own rounding logic. The system prevents double-spending: a customer who opens One Click Checkout in two tabs can’t redeem the same points twice and then complete the purchase. And points are only marked as redeemed after an order is placed, not when a customer clicks “apply”, so a payment failure never costs a customer their earned rewards.
