From university classes to the fintech world, these interns have arrived!
At Cashfree Payments, our merit-based, and collaborative culture opens doors for interns from across the country, coming from multifaceted backgrounds and colleges. They are placed to work on meaningful projects, aligned with their university courses and career ambitions at large.
With assigned mentors and teams, our interns enjoy guidance and growth opportunities to explore. We curate internships that convert ideas into impactful results, to prepare students and young professionals for a range of experiences – even beyond the world of fintech.
How do we do it? Let’s hear from our interns directly.
Balancing Risks and Rewards

“This internship has been such a worthwhile experience for me. Now, I feel like I am prepared to take flight in my professional career. I feel ready!” – says Neema Paulose, a recent MCA graduate from APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. She joined us 4 months ago, as an Intern in the Risk & Compliance team.
In her own words, what keeps Neema going is her compassionate and supportive team with the most energetic mentors. “My internship has given me a substantial understanding of AML and transaction monitoring. I started with the scrubbing process and at the end of three months, my team trained me on almost every process in the team. Now, I’m doing the screening process!” She says the best part has been the audit, which helped her take corrective courses over any mistakes.
Apart from a strong team, the work culture at Cashfree Payments has been a major attraction for her – “What I love the most is the work environment. It is very enabling and everyone helps each other grow. I remember when I got my first WOW Award – it was such a confidence boost for me!”
Talking about the recent Switch-On hackathon, she says – “It was my first-ever hackathon, and what an experience it was! Working in a team along with our mentor and sipping coffee trying to crack the problem statement, was truly memorable for me. Probably one of the happiest days ever!”
Things get easier once started

Ajeet Makvana from SRM University recalls the day when he got placed as an intern at Cashfree Payments – “I still remember how excited I was when I saw my name up there on the list. I knew I had it in me, and I’m glad I got to show and tell. After 2 intense rounds including the coding round, I was overwhelmed, honestly. However, the interview round was reassuring. There was a two-way conversation happening, where I got to know about Cashfree Payments and was able to express myself too.”
Now, as a Software Developer Engineer Test, Ajeet works on challenging and innovative tasks day after day. His first task was to set up a QA – Environment for our testing team. “I am enjoying this journey. Just two months in, and I have already got my hands on testing and learning about DevOps.”
Ajeet doesn’t sit back to relax, even on a break. His favourite part of the internship is playing Table Tennis in the Cashfree Payments cafeteria between work to get refreshed.
Summing up his internship so far, he says “My biggest takeaway is – things always get easier once started. Like after learning testing frameworks for a month, I got assigned to a new team, which required DevOps knowledge. It was challenging for me, but with the help of my buddies and all the senior colleagues, I started my DevOps journey, and it’s going so well.”
Finding the best fit

“For me, the highlight has been the team harmony and work culture! I am a person who is always willing to learn, and this has been just the perfect environment for me to grow!” – shares Prakriti Sharma from VIT Chennai, currently placed as SDET at Cashfree Payments.
“When I applied for Cashfree Payments, I was so nervous and excited, all at the same time. The internship selection process involved resume shortlisting followed by coding and aptitude tests. Further shortlisting led us to 3 technical rounds of interviews, after which an HR interaction was held. The period when you wait for the results of each round of interviews is the time you feel a flurry of mixed emotions, but it’s all worth it.”
Apart from enjoying the freedom to explore various tasks, she gained an insight into what goes into being a corporate employee. “The key focus of working in corporate is that you keep on learning and experimenting – to trace an exponential path to growth. Gladly, Cashfree Payments promises and delivers it. Frankly, it is also the best part of this internship. I can take interest in all fields rather than sticking to just mine – to find out my best fit. Multidisciplinary learning is encouraged here!”
